I feel like with the most recent updates of the Ring App, my devices have “poor” WiFi and never had issues before. Right now, both of my doorbells aren’t working and I have outside cameras farther away from the Router. Starting to dislike Ring more and more for all the money invested in this system. Any suggestions?

Mine is doing same - takes so long to view the event if it even loads- poor wifi - never had problems before and Nest isn’t having problems. Seems like its throttled down

@periodic yea that is expensive. Guess I’ll try to work out my ring doorbell then. Thanks for the great convo and advice.

My ring system was doing the same things you mention. I had a fairly new high performance Linksys router. I wanted to be able to hook up a tv to internet and I needed to hard wire it. I bought a linksys mesh system for that. After I hooked up the mesh system my ring camera system problems went away and they come up in a couple of seconds now

@antinucleon I agree. Since I have my mesh system (Google Nest), I don't really have any issues. And I have 1 camera in the backyard that's about 300 ft from the main router in the garage.

@commie this is what i use :Linksys AC5000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Wireless AC Router - can you share what you use, I need to do something so that my back yard camera will work. I am in an older brick home with brick home additions) my interior center of my home has 4 brick walls inside of 4 outer brick walls- my current wifi has been fine until recently, I do have a linksys booster (ac1200) i think and its helped on one side of my property - but im ready to try something different

@periodic I would highly recommend a mesh system. Everyone has their option which one works the best. I can't get into that war, but I find Google Mesh to be simple on installation and I use 4 mesh points around the house to broadcast evenly since the main router is in my network panel in the garage.

@funk2231 why not get a solar panel. I haven't touch mine in two years since I bought the house.

Purchased eufy2 for outdoor cameras. Not a perfect solution but it’s my internet. My next purchase is an aimesh router set, I am not going to Wi-Fi6, so I can save $ for a few years.
