Clarification: it still has power, the doorbell will ring, it just will not connect back to our WiFi so we can use the camera! Anyone ever have issues where your ring doorbell just stops working? I’ve had this happen twice now. Our wireless signal and output are perfectly fine. It just will NOT connect back to our WiFi. With the first one I went through weeks of troubleshooting with Ring, and they finally just sent us a new one. Well, we’ve had it a month and it’s doing the same thing the last one did now ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ I’m so frustrated I don’t understand what the problem is!

Doorbell pro? If so, sounds like it could be power related. aka the transformer needs updated to the proper voltage.

@saccharate yeah, since you have that capability see if Ring CS will do an upgrade to the pro. The pro is a true hardwire device with hardwire features. The 1, 2 and 3 are battery devices where you can trickle charge, but still only have battery features, which are far inferior to hardwired devices/options.

@saccharate hope they get you sorted, I’ve had good luck with their CS team over the past few years.

@pentosan53231 hoping for better luck this time. Last time I went through trouble shooting via email for 2 weeks straight before I finally put my foot down lol

Call them, usually get much better response. I’ve had much better luck via call than chat or email.

Yup, spent 3 hours on the phone with support trying everything and it still wouldn’t connect, they sent me a new 1, this was my floodlight cam. 9 months and it hasn’t happened on the replacement.

Mine would very often just die when the ring button was pressed. I had to disconnect it at the chime and reconnect to get it going again.
