So I have a question for anyone who can answer it. I just installed the chime Pro and I linked it to my Spotlight battery cam in my front yard I am getting a RSSI of -64 however whenever I connect it straight to my modem Wi-Fi it has an RSSI of -60. which would be better to use? My regular Wi-Fi network or through the chime Network?
So I have a question for anyone who can answer it.

The closest to Zero the -RSSI is the better. So -60 is better than -68.

@kery627 yeah I Googled it and I was reading up the lower the better that's why I don't understand I have my chime plugged in the living room right on the other side of the wall where my Spotlight battery cam is outside the house the chime pro has a negative 38 but yet the spotlight cam hook to the chime pro now has a negative 63

@pyelography99974 distances between each Ring device and the device its connected to for internet makes a difference. The type of wall makes a difference, or other major objects that interfere with the signal.

Yeah our house has stucco. Maybe I can try moving the chime Pro to see if it works better? I don't know. Give it more of the equal distance in between the router and Camera got you

And the Ring Chime Pro is just a cheap wifi-extender with a built-in Chime. You're better off with either direct connection to your router, or a reputable wifi-extender.

I got orbi coming in the mail I guess the mesh Wi-Fi satellite or something like that probably the best bet. LOL guess just wasted 50 bucks only thing that the time is good for for me is notifications are heard more easily

Did you try moving your Chime Pro closer to your camera or closer to your modem? You might get better RSSI.

@twannatwattle yes it is directly on the same wall as the camera outside

@pyelography99974 - Then it might be too far from the modem. Move it one or two outlets closer to the modem.

The lower the number the better but both are good number.
