My understanding being a new buyer and after talking to their customer sales last week it is mainly the key pad having dedicated buttons for police and fire and EMS. And the window /door sensors are a bit smaller. But personally, my main interest was in the cams and they did not change

If you mean the doorbell, the 2 has better quality picture and a removable battery. The 1 has to be taken off the wall and brought inside to charge, which takes two or three hours.

I believe there is some type of comparison chart on the website? With regards to Battery . both Model 1 and Model 2 can be wired to house doorbell wiring, if the location has it. Our Model 1 is wired so we never have to remove to charge.

From what I can see online, it's just an updated keypad, motion sensor, and different shaped door/window sensors. I believe the base station is the same.

Morning guys, two quick questions - 1 - can you set a ring burglar alarm to only detect motion on sensors downstairs so you can set it when you go to bed, and then when you walk downstairs and trip the alarm is there a countdown timer where you get to input the code before it gets loud ?
