Buying my first ring door bell cam I see the pro and ring 2, is there any big difference in the two ?

The comparison chart is GREAT. Also note that Models 1 and 2 are considered BATTERY units, even though they can be wired to an existing doorbell for "trickle" power. What the chart doesn't tell you is that any BATTERY unit will also have much different Settings. I can't speak to those exactly - we have Doorbell 1. I only know of the differences after being in the group awhile and learning that I can't make certain adjustments.

HUGE difference! Get the pro if you have the ability to hardwire, just make sure you also get the proper transformer too! Ring sells one that is the right one, but you can also find it on Amazon too.

The pro you have customized zones. You can angle around sidewalks and neighbors to get the maximum coverage of your area, and not areas you don't want.

Forget the doorbell and replace the front door light with a floodlight cam.
