So I’m digging my brand new ring security system. but when I did the test siren feature, no sound came out of the keypad. If it’s really triggered sound DOES come out of the keypad right ?

@stone7180 the siren test is only testing the siren on the base station

We have a ring security system and the siren comes from the base unit.

The siren should come from both the base station and the keypad. When my alarm goes off, so does my keypad. Though I have not tried manually setting it off if it works the same. For sure keypad goes off when alarm does though.

Mine comes from the key pads as well as the base station. Got a rude awakening one night as my retired mom decided to do arts and crafts 11:30PM. The Key pads were yelling as well as the fire alarm.

When your testing the siren, its only testing the base station siren. If however the alarm was triggered both the base station and keypad will sound an alarm

Maybe someday it can come from our outdoor cameras too
