I love my ring security system with the exception of one thing. My Alexa will not go into guard mode unless the ring security is in the away mode. I like the fact that Alexa guard notifies me of glass breakage. I don’t need this feature in the away mode because if someone breaks a window and steps into my house the motion sensor will set off the alarm. However, I do need it when I set my alarm in home mode. If I’m at home my motion sensors aren’t activated because I walk around the house at night. If someone breaks a window in the other end of my house, they are free to come on in because the motion sensors won’t pick them up. Why doesn’t ring or Alexa allow Alexa guard in home mode? Doesn’t make any sense to me as to why they don’t.
