Question

Im going to set up a new floodlight camera. I have the option to hardwire electric or I can use a PoE adaptor because of the proximity of the router. Are there any advantages/disadvantages of using a PoE adaptor vs hardwired electric?

I believe the Ring Floodlight Camera is only hardwired for power, and communication is WiFi only.

Only ring product I have seen that is POE is the ring elite video door bell.

Cool I didn't know they had anymore Poe cams besides the elite doorbell. They need to have a section on their website for Poe cams so easier to keep updated. We use to link cams for rest of house when relying on wireless cams. Like then alot better. Access to cameras seems to be alot better and faster.
