With the ring floodlight cam, I want to sit out in my back yard with a fire pit and NOT set off the motion sensor which triggers the lights. Disabling the motion zones doesn’t work Turning all 3 motion zones for the lights just sets them back to on as soon as I exit out and check the settings. Why isn't there just a setting to disable the lights from triggering due to motion?

You have to disable the light sensor zones. It's sucks but it's the only way to really turn them off. Go to your floodlight. Go to light settings and click on the 3 blue zones to disable them. Then enjoy your evening. And just remember to turn em back on afterwards. Other option is to kill the power to the floodlight by flicking your lightswitch

Mike, I was having an issue with mine continuously coming on at all times. Guessing bugs although it’s inside a pool cage. However, once I turned off the 3 zones, it no longer comes on. Have you tried resetting it completely, removing it from ecosystem and setting as new? Sometimes that will push any new update automatically.

@protero373 nope, try again

That will turn them off until there is motion again, which is immediately

I'm following because I have the same problem. Yes, it turns it off, until motion - then back on! Very frustrating!

@remaremain28 try a reset of cam, remove from app and set up as new. They will push any new updates and hopefully fix it.

Snooze the notifications. OP’s issue is light coming on unwanted.

I have the same issue on 2 floodlight cams. Done all the resets etc. Still does it. Starting to wish I went to Eufy on these now.

Motions zones are for recording motion. You want light settings and the sensor which triggers the lights on.

See the 3 sections that say on? Click each one and turn off. There should be an easier way but there isn't

@roer968 hmm that's odd. Might be a stupid question, but are you hitting save in the top right corner?

@roer968 this works for me. Use it all the time. You clicking save?

You can use snooze up to 6 hours.

@catlaina79 not the Flood lights coming ON in this use case. Can only keep them off in the device settings> light settings > motion settings for lights > tap zones off > save
