I have 2 1st generation stick-up cams. They are powered by solar panels. Recently they have not been able to achieve a 100% charge now for several months. They show 92 and 91% for the last several months. Does anyone think cleaning the solar panels would help increase the charging of these two cameras? Please note, these cameras have been in operation since 2017.
I have 2 1st generation stick-up cams.

If the battery level is staying consistently at 91/92, the solar panels are likely fine. It's the batteries that have lost capacity to keep a full charge.

@adahadaha batteries replaceable on those?

Sadly they are not. If you sub to the protect plan, they will replace your cameras for free. I had this problem in the past, hassle free to get it replaced.

@divinity would they permit me to join? What does it cost? Finally, would it cover 3 year cameras that were purchased @ Home Depot at the end of their run?

Its $100 a year, covers the cameras operations and warranty. You can find more at

@divinity the warranty is only extended if the cameras were under original warranty when you signed into the $100. 00 plan.

Correct. That is why I had linked him to the page for further information. Sounds like he already had it, so that's a bonus. I wasn't 100% sure of the fine print since I've had it for years. since the first camera I got.

The new generation stickup cams are so much better design than the 1st generation. The solar panel power connector on the 1st generation was not weather proof and was always an issue.

@ionic not w/ mine because mine are shielded from the rain. They only receive morning sunlight and have only been exposed to moderate temperatures because I reside in the Southeastern United States.

Mine is the same way. Works fine though, which is all that really matters,
