Also don’t keep it some where you are close to all the time. The EMF radio waves coming out if that thing is high. But like everyone said, best to place it somewhere not visible.

You can keep it out of view in many places without putting it in a cabinet. Mine is behind my sofa, but under or on the top of my kitchen cabinets was another option for me.

The other thing is if it's visible from a window, it can be seen what mode it's in. If you forget to set it at night or when you go out, burglars could see it's not armed.

well that makes more sense than a cabinet or dresser or kitchen counter, since its still up higher. With that said do you keep your chime on both keypad and base station? I been told they have a delay if they both go off. So my base station and key pad is currently close together so I just have my base station chime.

Drill a hole behind the base station and another at whatever height you want to hide it. Drop a string with the weight on the end through the top hole and use a bent paper clip or something to pull the string through. Attach the string to the end that plugs into the base at the bottom hole. Pull the string from the top hole to retrieve the plug up through the top hole. Pull that end into the base and reinstall the base. Then plug into the outlet. The cord can then be hidden by something much shorter/smaller or you can cover the cord with a cable hider found at any hardware store (pictured)

I’d place the base station at chest height and on the corner or toward the corner by wall or cabinet. Then run some plastic molding to his wire down to outlet or UPS.

Mount it somewhere else, or channel the wall with an extension cable and plaster over the top.

Just do it the easy way I mentioned. Hide it with a picture or tapestry.

You can run the low voltage wiring in the wall behind the base station and out near the baseboard. The other option is using Wiremold products as a raceway and it can be painted if you wish.

Ignore the hole in the wall. A couch was dropped on my railing. Higher up electrical outlet is the way to go.

Before you run the low voltage wire in the wall check with your insurance carrier as well as your code enforcement office. Folks have had their claims denied when fires happen due to wire not being in wall rated. Not worth that risk!

Just my opinion but why would you want to put it somewhere where it can be seen. You want it to be heard not seen!
