Question

Strange thing today.  I saw an Amazon delivery being made.Strange thing today. I saw an Amazon delivery being made. Nothing terribly strange about that. But then I watched someone else approach my porch and just stood there looking. Then turned and walked away. Didn’t take the package. The strange part is that I watched it live and when I go back to re-watch it, that entire section with that person is blacked out. It shows an Orange section (live) but the recording is blacked out. What’s up with that?

Bandwidth issue. I bet they did not just stand there. I bet it froze up and unfroze as they walked away

I had that on a couple of videos today. I know mine wasn’t bandwidth neither I’m guessing Ring was having some problems then.

Well , a ghost do can get caught on video, i know once something similar happened to someone, the difference is her recording froze, we saw a shadow but couldn’t see the body, it happened everytime the same person would walk by her house.

An Orange bar on your timeline means the video is still being processed and uploaded to Ring’s servers. Once the processing finishes you’ll be able to replay the recorded video.

That was the Amazon Secret Police. They didn’t get to delete the recording before you saw it, so now it’s corrupted into that blacked out section. *tightens tin foil hat a little tighter and walks away*

If I understand what you are saying, the orange is just that it’s a video if the orange you are talking about it the part beneath the video. As for the video being blacked out, that sounds like a privacy zone. Go to camera -> Device Settings -> Privacy Setting -> Privacy Zones and then remove the zone.

Not sure what to do. There’s literally a video prior to and after it and the settings were not changed. I guess it will remain a mystery.
