Ring stick up outdoor cam is plugged in for power but says I can’t access it for live view because battery is low. Why? That’s about the most ridiculous thing in the world.

It’s my understanding these are really Battery Devices. Even when plugged in they only record for 20 seconds. You might want to stick a battery in it. So if someone cuts the power it will continue to record!

Well that is not right if you are talking about the 3rd Gen Stickup Cams. When plugged in the battery is optional and for backup for blackout. You may want to reset it and if that does not work call Tech Support.

Thanks for the suggestions. We got this for my mom out of state so she wouldn’t have to mess with batteries, especially since it’s mounted over her garage. Ugh.

Love all my ring device’s but 3 generation is inferior to the second gen. I have the same problem for over a month now. Second generation works great and my indoor cams are better than the 3 generation one. Until their is a software fix I wouldn’t recommend a 3 generation stick-up!

@insurance9059 my experience is exactly the same. You took the words right out of mouth.
