I've seen some people post that they've used eero pro to boost their wifi. It's on an amazon deal today and I thought about getting it. Kind of pricey, but want to know who's used it. Is it easy to install? We have xfinity wifi with netgear extenders now

I'm surprised that with the Netgear extenders that you still have problems. I used Netgear at one home with Mediacom and worked great. I have xfinity at my house and am going to Walmart to day for a couple of extenders. Either Orbe or eero. Much less cost. If they dont work, back to Walmart and then Netgear. Good luck.

Our wifi is okay- I thinks it's more of an issue with xfinity as a whole as opposed to the extenders. Was just hoping to make things a bit smoother

@unorganized Thanks. Wifi can really be a pain. It's like a cat chasing it's tail. Everytime I add a device something goes wrong. I'll let you know if I have an success.

I added a Linksys AC1200 Boost Ex. Easy to hook up. Works great. My RSSI is 62. Cost was $48. Just FYI.

Love my eero. very easy setup and works well with my Ring Pro. my doorbell was consistently losing connectivity prior to installing it. 3700 sf home. two stories. modem is upstairs in master bedroom closet. i have two eeros downstairs and one up, and speeds are very good!

I just switched to eero from Netgear and love it as much but works better with the 2. 4g. I have a brick ranch that was built in 1956 and our 2. 4g was terrible. Eero works so much better.

Yes, easy to set up and hook everything up.

Also, reading through comments, our Netgear wifi extender and the Ring extender did nothing to help.

Extenders degrade Wi-Fi signals. A mesh Wi-Fi system is great. I have google Wi-Fi but heard good things about the eero system

@unorganized I got this EERO Mesh and it’s done wonders to my Ring Pro. Its allowed me to see the ups man right when he coming off the truck and not when he’s walking back. My RSSI dropped from -57 to -37. I got mine on Black Friday for $160.

@magus -57 is an insanely good signal, and would have had absolutely no connection issues. -37 is completely ridiculous, but would have no real world difference

It works for me and that’s all I care about

I bought an Eero pro and 1 beacon, the signal is the strongest of any router I’ve owned before and I don’t even have the beacon hooked up

Ok, so we have ring cameras and security system and Nest thermostat. Would it be better to go with the google wifi or does it not matter

I have the orbi and it works but it took some tech details To work with ring. Thank goodness with the help from his group. If I have to do it again I would go with eero

I've got the ORBI and my Wi-Fi is great. Ring pro, floodlight cam 3 interior stick up elites, a d the ring alarm system. More than 50 devices on my network. My RSSI ratings are solid ranging from -24 to -42, most are in the -34 to -38 range. Never had an issue with setting up any device.

@unorganized call Ring customer support. There is a special offer to get eero. Might end soon but worth a call.

@exercitation2948 I just ordered through amazon but still might be worth a call. Thanks

@unorganized yes, go ahead and call. You can always return a shipment even if you can’t stop it.

@unorganized I always think it doesn’t hurt to ask questions

If you have xfinity check out the xfi pods they offer. I had netgear extenders and they weren't getting the job done. The xfi pods from xfinity are 10x better and it's a mesh. They can be bought used on ebay and work just the same, but cheaper. Definitely worth it instead of having random extenders to connect to!

@profundity interesting

$120 for like 3, but it's about $50 per netgear extender anyways so just sell those. Get em cheaper on ebay. You won't look back as long as you have xfinity.
