WordPress users / Agency owners. I am often confronted with a bloated old theme that clients have asked me to help optimise for speed etc. I always uninstall these themes and rebuild in a simple custom theme so they only have things necessary to their needs HOWEVER, when uninstalling these existing themes I am always having to strip out all the theme settings in the database as when you simply uninstall a theme or activate another and just deactivate it, it always leaves values in the database that are not ever needed unless you reinstall the theme. So I am thinking about coding up a plugin that will find redundant tables in the MySQL and delete these to optimise the database. After all a bloated DB = slow site. How many of you would use something like this?
WordPress users / Agency owners.
