Hello!  I'm just getting started with my WordPress website and I am not sure about this thing: why isn't my site on google.Hello! I'm just getting started with my WordPress website and I am not sure about this thing: why isn't my site on google. I read several answers on why is this happening but I am a little confused. The site has like 12 days, I did a sitemap 2 days ago with Youth SEO WP plug-in and still nothing. Is there anything I can do or just wait? And if waiting is the answer, for how long? Update: www. exomera. com is the website, if you are kind to check for any error that could cause that, I would really appreciate!

Where are you searching? It doesn’t exist on page one cause you need months and high quality content. Your site is there but not a ranking on page one.

@johnsiejohnson it seems I was doing the searching wrong, thanks a lot!

@hers3 it happens but your image is technically correct as there is no www version on search.

@johnsiejohnson do you know by any chance why is this happening and what can I do to change that?
by (520 points)
@hers3 well you have a redirect for www to no www. I personally don’t ever have www anymore to keep URLs short when I display them. If that’s what you want then you need to look at how they are 301’d in the host as could be htaccess or nginx each host is different as to configuration

@johnsiejohnson so not having a www. doesn't have any other impact(in rankings or site visibility) excepting the visual one?

@hers3 exactly

@johnsiejohnson thank you, I won't use it either in this case.

What does it say in search console?

@florie no data, graphs are empty

Have you added the XML? Have you submitted individual URLs to be crawled and indexed?
by (290 points)
@florie Yoast SEO says it does it automatically but I did submit one manually also, it says: sent in 6 may, last read: 8 may, success

Your field is highly competitive you need to do a deep keyword research and competitive analysis before writing content that can rank on page 1

Your site has 5 URLs indexed it Google. you can see it here:  It's new, you'll need more high quality content, and links from other sites in order to rank and you're in a competitive market, it will take time.

Anyone know if it is bad to have your blog tags indexed?
by (160 points)
@slapdash yes because google will treat them as separate pages and you will have a lot of duplicate content issues

Aghhh dang it.

@jarret Categories too?
by (160 points)
@slapdash I always noindex categories because 1: those pages might be flagged as thin content and 2: how often do you see categories ranked in serp. So there is no point in indexing them.
The Search Engine Optimization Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about better strategy on ranking highly for search engine results.
