10K closed in 1 week. So I'm doing this 90 challenge, when I try to close as many deals as possible in 90 days. Background info I did it 3 years ago and I ended up pitching SEO to freelancer. com -- they hired me and I ended up running the Warrior Forum (long messy story) 3 years ago my SEO pitching plan was to do it in MASS . pure cold emailing . I made 75K in 3 months and over 20K recurrent (that was the goal, to be able to achieve the 20K mark) -- you can read the whole thing online, because i blogged about this daily. (find it on medium) I have started again this time but a bit less dramatic Anyway, i wanted to share a different approach. Here is the angle: Approach the prospect by telling them what they DONT NEED . Business owners are exhausted of all of us bastards telling the what they need. When you pitch SEO they have read it before. So here is the angle: You find the typical company asking for help on Linkedin, Twitter, a group. for an SEO expert. Your angle is this: you don't need an SEO company what you need is 1) train your webmaster to improve this 2) implement this changes yourself 3)invest in a content marketing strategy Whatever. what you want to do is BREAK the pattern. You can't be different if you tell them what they know their need. and what 100 people have been telling them. so instead make them wonder, put a different angle and then you get their attention. This is my main angle this year and it works beautiful. Company looking to start Adwords? I stop them and tell them to try to fix their SEO first. Startup looking for an agency in Sydney? i stop them and tell them they could save money by getting a marketing Audit first remotely. you get the idea. be different. Feel free to ask any questions - watching Narcos 2. so I feel homesick . (yes I'm Colombian)
