10K closed in 1 week. So I'm doing this 90 challenge, when I try to close as many deals as possible in 90 days. Background info I did it 3 years ago and I ended up pitching SEO to freelancer. com -- they hired me and I ended up running the Warrior Forum (long messy story) 3 years ago my SEO pitching plan was to do it in MASS . pure cold emailing . I made 75K in 3 months and over 20K recurrent (that was the goal, to be able to achieve the 20K mark) -- you can read the whole thing online, because i blogged about this daily. (find it on medium)  I have started again this time but a bit less dramatic Anyway, i wanted to share a different approach. Here is the angle: Approach the prospect by telling them what they DONT NEED . Business owners are exhausted of all of us bastards telling the what they need. When you pitch SEO they have read it before. So here is the angle: You find the typical company asking for help on Linkedin, Twitter, a group. for an SEO expert. Your angle is this: you don't need an SEO company what you need is 1) train your webmaster to improve this 2) implement this changes yourself 3)invest in a content marketing strategy Whatever. what you want to do is BREAK the pattern. You can't be different if you tell them what they know their need. and what 100 people have been telling them. so instead make them wonder, put a different angle and then you get their attention. This is my main angle this year and it works beautiful. Company looking to start Adwords? I stop them and tell them to try to fix their SEO first. Startup looking for an agency in Sydney? i stop them and tell them they could save money by getting a marketing Audit first remotely. you get the idea. be different. Feel free to ask any questions - watching Narcos 2. so I feel homesick . (yes I'm Colombian)

Any tip how will it work from a website development perspective? :)
by (4.5k points)
Sure, "looking for someone to re-design my site. " you don't need to. we can fix this without paying for a new design using the existing framework
by (420 points)
@resolvent6115 loved it Will try this "new approach / perspective you shared :) "

@resolvent6115 I am sorry, I don't understand the concept. Could you please help me a little. If someone want's to redesign their website and my offer is "you don't need to, I can redesign it using your framework" - what is the difference here being offered? They want redesign, I offer them redesign. I don't get it.
by (750 points)
@carnallite583 - I think the idea is to say "you don't need to pay for a completely new design from scratch - we can update your site's look by tweaking the current framework/theme. " - i. e. 1. stand out with your approach and 2. appeal to their desire not to blow a fortune on something that isn't necessary

@carnallite583 but the client doesn’t know that or understand it. It’s a way in the door

I’m pretty amazed that the bulk email worked. I get them on a daily basis as a Marketing Director. I always delete them. I’m curious though on where people find good WP freelancers.
by (4.5k points)
@englishman I closed Red Bull with 1 cold email
by (4.5k points)
@englishman wp Devs . FB groups
by (940 points)
@resolvent6115 thank you! I’ll look there.
by (770 points)
@resolvent6115 WOW. Closing RB with one Cold email is something!
by (4.5k points)
@parenthesize67 well the engagement started there . You never close with 1 email. You open the door
by (770 points)
@englishman I suggest trying a number of different Devs from different platforms with some small tasks. Then narrow them down as time goes by, and once you find the gem/s fit for you, just hang on to them. And please don't just do price shopping. I know it's not easy and quick, but certainly it's worth it! If you wish I can direct you to some good ones. ☺️
by (770 points)
@resolvent6115 Yep. Absolutely! So you use any template or all of them are personalized?
by (940 points)
@parenthesize67 I will. I have several sites that I manage and I’m looking for someone who knows SEO as well. I need a few more sites spun up and implemented. Thank you!
by (770 points)
@englishman Feel free to send me a PM or you can email me at vaskarchakraborty23@gmail. com whatever suits you the best.

How can I apply that if I wana offer premium domains that I have like VPN niche, Travel, Hotels, CBD, Baby Niche, Tech, Pet and alike?
by (4.5k points)
@lissettelissi826 domains is not a service
by (1.5k points)
Im Premium Dropped / NonDropped Domainer so it is a service I believe as many people wants to buy authority domains and or want domains for 301. It changed so so many people's lives I can't even count. So yes it is service. Just wanted to know how one can pitch about it?
by (4.5k points)
@lissettelissi826 is not a service . Is a product. You don't actually work for the client
by (1.5k points)
@resolvent6115 Is there a way to pitch about selling such premium domains?

Interesting. What's your system for finding companies that are asking for help with XYZ?
by (4.5k points)
@nila17365 LinkedIn and FB mate
by (4.8k points)
So do you just mooch about on those platforms looking for targets? Not being flippant - genuinely curious

I sent about 100 cold emails last week, all personalised and last 40, I’ve used Dubb and inserted a short video. Ooft. nothing so far, bar a couple of rejections but will crack on.

Good hustle man. Everyone wants to hear how they can save money versus shelling out cash for improvements. Good angles you got there.
by (650 points)
Not only that but he's also right. Invest in content marketing strategy mostly. That is the one that will get you on top. It's a long way but it's a sure way to the top.
by (610 points)
For sure. Ive tried social media of all sorts and it never works for me organically. Written content always wins it seems.

by (4.5k points)
You win my heart if you write that in French . Smart move

@resolvent6115 seriously I like how you attack them from another angle. Je vais certainement essayer cette stratégie prochainement.

The principle here is simple. Educate and inform instead of pitching services. The good clients will come on their own.
by (4.5k points)
The clients will come on their own is like saying "be nice with women and you will get laid weekly" . #notveryeffective
by (3.6k points)
@resolvent6115 my advice/feedback is intended for smart people. If you read my comments and interpret literally, the advice will come off worthless.
by (4.5k points)
It was a joke mate.
by (3.6k points)
@resolvent6115 wasn't directed -at- you; I know smart people get it ;)
