I don't even mess with them. I want to stick to one platform and right now that is WP + Astra + Elementor for 95% of sites. But that combo is becoming almost too much to deal with, especially for customers. I'm experimenting with Oxygen and ACF + Underscore theme. I will let you know how it goes.

@malefaction Hey, bud, we were thinking of switching to Elementor and Astra. But now you're saying it's becoming too much? What are the benefits of oxygen and ACF + underscore versus Astra and Elementor?
by (5.6k points)
Using ACF with an _S base is good. Ditch Oxygen.

Elementor + Astra with ACF. This is the juice. All we use. +1

I have been using it. The benefits of ELEM is that there is no coding and I can spin up landing pages really fast and quickly tweak the look and feel for different viewports. The downside is that it's basically like learning Photoshop or similar for the customers. They barely use minimal WP blog functionality as it is. Oxygen and ACF looks like WP blog posting to the customer.

@malefaction how much you charge for wp+elementor+astra website in average?
by (1.1k points)
Oxygen speed wise is good

Rob, I have it but I have not yet made a full site out of it.

Well then which hosting is good for seo
by (560 points)
The meme doesn't refer to hosting, it refers to the CMS.

I used to only work on Weebly sites and ranked just fine. Buuuuuuut, customer service sucks, it's expensive, they haven't had a major update in like 3 years, design options are limited, especially for mobile, and my wife said no more Weebly, so I guess that's that.

I only use Siteground & Cloudways and haven't looked back but that's only Wordpress installs. Working more with Node. js / express these days building custom builds though
by (1.8k points)
@muna2 same. If it's on WordPress, I've fully moved to Cloudways. Hard to beat their price and service for what they cost. Plus, Cloud servers>CPanel all day long.
by (2.3k points)
Siteground for small scale clients for the amazing customer service but Cloudways is just fantastic for scalability
by (1.8k points)
@muna2 We get decent sized clients typically. If I get a small one, I'll give that a look.

Excellent. But I made the CMS myself and rent it to others. Site speed is usually around 90+ in Google PageSpeed, and ranks very well.

GoDaddy sux, and they can GFT on those Domains by Proxy domains. Nothin sux worse than paying 46 bucks and having to Per-Se a Subpoena to hoe slap extortionists and content thieves

You mean CMS as a service? CMS via API, the so-called headless CMS? Most of those are sitting on AWS. I am looking into ButterCMS right now via Netlify.

When Star Bucks opened across the street from every small town coffee house. It started putting them out of business. However urban coffee is still alive. The difference is that when your small, your also lean, fast, and agile. Alexander The Great knew this and always kept his armies small. Just remember, It's not the big that eat the small, it's the fast that eat the slow. Go Daddy took 20 years to come up with a concept the the market place had for over a decade. I'm sure you can think of a way to pivot. Judo (Japanese for “the gentle way”) emphasizes winning in combat by using your opponent's strength and power against them. My point here. if you heard nothing I just said is. Your client called YOU. Not Godaddy. how you respond to the rest of it is up to you.
