Barry has become a sensationalist in the past few years. I've seen nothing bad on the sites I manage and in the groups I follow almost no one is complaining about lost traffic. Our conversions have improved so maybe there is a wash in rankings - we're getting more visibility where it helps and less where it doesn't help. But I've been too busy for a detailed analysis.

Is there anyone that doesn't ever experience fluctuations? Doesn't that just come with the territory?

I haven't seen these fluctuations in my sites yet. But I will be tracking any changes

It is interesting to see it from the "Monthly Active users" report perspective. Ever since the January Core Update enormous boost, Active users are going up continuously. They still don't show the signs of slowing down. Latest fluctuation included.

Here's another: hit the holiday search slump, then rose back up (and hopefully never looked back)

All I have noticed is that I get some completely unrelated bullshit in searches lately. My fiance has an estate sale biz and I has been hard helping her look up items for priceing. Can't find shit these days.

Somewhat, but still didn't address the real issue, low-quality websites with content stuffed front page outranking quality websites.

Yupp, this is something they need to address for sure

As usual, one of my sites is rocking hard. But given Google's clamp down on health niche, it's a surprise that it doesn't. I feel edgy these days if any of my money pages are in position 1-3. It's like a huge fall is coming.
