Is it better to offer clients to do their SEO for free until the quarantine is over (maybe 1 - 2 months of charges) or risk losing them forever and lose more money in the long term? Say you have 10 clients at $1, 000 per month, so $10, 000 per month in recurring revenue multiplied by 2 months = $20, 000. Assuming you have a 50% profit margin that would cost your company $10, 000 ($20, 000 divided by 2). But if you lose several of those clients, the long-term revenue losses will be much greater than the $10, 000 it costs to just do their SEO for free for a month or two. So say you lose just 3 of your 10 clients (30%) and they never come back, the revenue loss would be $36, 000 and the profit loss would be $18, 000 in the first year alone. We all know how hard it is to get great clients. So is this a viable strategy for companies thinking of the long term? I don't know. What do you think?
