I didn't move from HD to Alien, but I did move from an Asus Mesh setup to the Alien. The difference was like night and day. The Alien is soooo much better than any mesh i've tried in the past.

pricey, but worth it. Especially if you have any devices that use wifi 6. I don’t have any, so I use the WiFi 6 for the mesh point to backhaul traffic to the main router. On LAN speeds are crazy fast.

Not me but the alien definitely is something I am looking at to replace my asus router. the reviews show that the alien is super fast on wifi 6

Just move away from amplifi and use unifi on a UDM or USG would be my advice

I have a 2 story, 3300 sqft home. The office with the router is in the opposite corner of the house from the beacon. That's a lot of walls and interference. This set up doesn't miss a beat
