So what’s the best brand of smart garage door openers? I need the whole set as my newly constructed house doesn’t come with anything except the pre-wiring, and I need 2 so I’m hoping it won’t be too expensive.
So what’s the best brand of smart garage door openers?

I’m using Chamberlain MyQ. It’s worked great for me with Alexa and also geofencing.

@salisbury is there a monthly subscription fee to use MyQ?

@rebuild no. Well. there is but that’s to use voice control with google. There is an app called SimpleCommand that you can connect it to and then connect that to Alexa or Google home. Works great

Chamberline MyQ with almost any GDO, but personally I recommend the Ryobi one which has plugin parts. I have seen a smart things or MQTT handler for it out on the web.

Yes, poor post by me. I'm not sure about now, but when I signed up, they charged you a yearly fee to use it. In addition to that, they have not provided the functionality they promised by the dates they stated. Lastly, while the app works great, it does not seem to work with Google Home Hub or Samsung Smartthings. (It will work with Google Assistant voice, but that is not what I was looking for). To be fair, I don't have any experience with other door openers, but I have not been impressed with Chamberlain.

Nexx is OKAY but they all seem pretty "meh" if you ask me. I might look into making the konnected device my garage door opener for my second garage just to compare. /shrug.

For a door opener system that works with any garage door opener, has Zwave and has a tilt/position sensor, Id go with the Linear/GoControl unit. Just slap one on your GDO. They run $150 or so.
