So what's everyone loving for a video doorbell? I had an incident this morning and has me feeling violated. I'm ready to finally buy.

Eufy seems to be getting a lot of good reviews especially as it’s one of the few vds to have non subscription record option. Someone mentioned that it had restricted number of users though so I’m unsure if everyone in a family could view the same one on their mobs.

@chavez like my Eufy and family members can view. Camera is 2k resolution too.

Oh dear Eufy not available in uk and no planned date so will have to look elsewhere. Any other suggestions other than Ring and Google?

I like the eufy. Wish it had smart things integration though

@harwill why is a package delivery service better than a camera?

I like my August doorbell and August smart lock. They work together well.

Im really happy with my nest hello. it uploads to their cloud 24/7 so you dont miss anything, if you have the nest aware sub it stores video for a week i believe, plus you can save and name faces so when someone rings the bell, if it saved, a google home will announce "mike is at the front door". its a great product.

I bought a ring door bell was 80 at curry’s and returning it it’s the version one on allot people say it had allot of issues but I don’t feel it’s justified to spend another 100 on it not sure so want to follow this.

Had Ring and tired of the spotty event detection. Switched to Nest, 24/7 record is the way to go.

My skybell works well enough. I like that it doesn't require a subscription. It's a little stale feature wise. I wish you could define zones to cut down on false Motion alerts.

I have a Ring Pro Ann's it works awesome, as long as you understand a few things. The WiFi has to be good quality and the transformer for your doorbell better be in good shape. If not, you better be able to find it (which is extremely hard in a lot of older homes) and replace it. I have good Wifi so no problem there. My transformer sucked and I couldn't find it so thankfully there's a wall outlet next to the door and I have it plugged in there.

I am a fan of the Nest Hello or the Dahua doorbell connected to their CCTV system. Personally, stay about from the gimmicks such as ring and some of the Chinese knocks. Their quality is useless and not worth the cost.

Check out Gate Labs for their 3 in 1 deadbolt, camera and remote lock. I believe Wyze is coming out with a retrofit in May that is 1/4 the price of gate labs

Nest. Easy to install and nice integration of you have other Google products. I pay for the subscription for like 5 days history just in case anything happens and I've used the history many times to review things going on.

When I get one it will be the Nest. Because I want facial recognition. But you should back it up with other cameras. At least IMHO.

I recommend Arlo if you've got a wired connection, Eufy for battery powered and Remo+ for budget option. Hello Nest is good if you're already using other Google products otherwise I'd go with one of the other brands. Ring is likely the most popular, but there are better options IMO
