We have a Ring doorbell. It is picking up any movement like the wind blowing. Now we have a birds nest in our portico and a bird is flying in and out and triggering the chime. Any suggestions on how to make the doorbell pick up only people at the door?

Go into settings. Choose Motion Settings, then motion zones. You can draw a zone on the image. It will only notify of motion within that zone. You can also use the slider to adjust motion sensitivity.

I think this is only available on a certain model? @

which version do you have? The Pro definitely has this feature. Not sure about the other models without looking it up.

The pro and Elite have those settings for sure. I am fairly positive the original doorbell did as well. I have no experience with the new peephole cam.

New app update has a setting where it will only trigger motion for people. Doesn’t work very well for me but try it

I have the bird issue too. I walked out the other day and got hit with twigs.
