Is anyone concerned with resale on a home wired for automation? I just bought a house and will be gutting it and rewiring it with 'Smart' features in mind. I'm thinking of eliminating traditional 3 way switches and even some switches entirely and just controlling lights for stairs and such based on motion. Will this be a problem when I resell the home? There are absolutely no smart homes in the area and minimal interest in them. My WIFI thermostat was shock and awe to everyone I showed it to. I'm worried the fear of technology will turn off most buyers. Thoughts?
