Semi-HA related question.  I have NetGear Orbi mesh wifi - one router and one satellite.Semi-HA related question. I have NetGear Orbi mesh wifi - one router and one satellite. Since we had an extension built, coverage in the garden is poor so I want to extend. Obviously, the best thing would be to get another satellite, but I can't find one at a reasonable price at the moment so I'm going to put in another Router that I have and use it as a WAP. Question is - do I use the same SSID as the Orbi, or will that interfere and should I use a different SSID?

It may be more messing around than it's worth, but you can put them on the same SSID for simplicity of the users. Obviously different channels, preferably spread apart. You'll have to use at least a modern security protocol like WPA-2. I've had three APs set up in my house (ranch w/additions) and this seems to work well. It was a little goofy with older apple devices, but one of their iOS versions a while back was able to handle "inter-access point handoffs".
