What did you use for smart speakers in separate rooms? I want to have them connected to my google hub and can select example play music in all rooms or play music in Room A & Room B only.

HEOS, MusicCast, and Alexa will not do what you're asking about. To connect to your GH hub you're limited to GH speakers, which work very nicely for me in my smaller rooms; Sonos speakers, which have only limited GH compatibility, and a Chormecast dongle connected to an HDMI input on an amplifier, which is how I connected my home audio to play in sync with my GH hub.

I installed HEOS, MusicCast and Sonos. I have MusicCast at home.

I have Sonos speakers. They work great with Alexa. I also have google home devices, but i rarely use those other than the display in the kitchen we use for cooking timers. I think sonos works well with google home, though. i have 4 Play1's, 1 Play3 and a One and am very happy with the setup

Sonos as well as a few echo devices, by grouping the smart speaker with lights / shades in each room you can shorten your command to turn on/off lights and itll just do the ones in that room

Heos doesn't work with Google? Odd. I use that with alexa and it's fine. I can adjust volume verbally. Wife approves
