If it's connected via bluetooth, mine has always said "now connected to XYZ" when it establishes the connection. Also wondering if they added that because they got complaints about people thinking that it had a mind of its own when really it might just have been from one of their devices they didn't realize was playing.

@ezara22933 mine use to stay connected all the time. Never heard anything. Just placed the audio. Now it’s saying “now playing from Mac mini” it’s Annoying. I can be listening to a YouTube video. It stops and start another a few mins later and it’ll do it again

@deaconry3 Odd. I'll see if it does that on mine later on. Sorry to hear that it's doing that for you.

@ezara22933 yea. I’m hunting now for a solution. May try repairing. Not sure the actual issue but see I updated alexa app a few days ago. About same time ‍♀️

Mine did that a couple times too. It was connected by bluetooth even tho I had never paired it before. I disconnected and it hasn't done it again.

@alicea well I’m choosing to go over bluetooth. Mac mini doesn’t have a decent speaker so I needed something more. Worked great for months.

My fiance's Samsung Note 10 has been doing the same thing.
