“Alexa, lock up” to lock all the doors. Backyard lights turning on when we open the back door (or drive up) when it’s dark. The back door auto-unlocking. We have a detached garage in the rear and my “2 factor unlock” is when we enter a geofence (with our phones) then the garage opens within 3 minutes. the back door unlocks and texts us that it unlocked. Of course it re-locks within 3 minutes.

Arlo baby monitor, Alexa light commands, automatic bathroom fan based on humidity control. All others are basically tolerated.

well I don’t use SmartThings for that, but intelligence mainly. I have mine setup to run for no more than an hour, and to use a comparison between the bathroom humidity and the house humidity. If the house humidity is lower than the bathroom humidity, run the tank if not, don’t. No point in running the fan if it’s just a humid day.

Node-red combined with Alexa/Google Voice control. We can create complex routines in a few minutes and have routines and scenes for everything.

If I'm only allowed one, probably the tablet on the wall in our bed room so that she can see that the garage door is closed, the doors are all locked, and there are no windows open.

Highest WAF is when both of us get into bed (after 9 pm) all of the lights in the house turn off and the motion sensors deactivate. Thin film pressure sensors under each side of the mattress. My favorite is when I get up in the morning only one kitchen light and the under cabinet lighting by the coffee maker come on at a low brightness level.

My favourite and my wife’s is the motion sensors in the kids bathroom and also on the landing. The moment they open the bedroom door for the toilet in the night, the bathroom lights come on and illuminate the landing for them.

Controlling lights and heating via voice control. Also Eufy robovac, saves us a job. Robovac named "Emilio" like the personal assistant in MrDeeds because he is "very sneaky" :) Landroid arriving soon to keep garden in shape too. I'm sure thatll go down well
