Since I have been in a no-travel mode and working only at home I've been tweaking my home network. I have a 1 story condominium that is 2700 sq ft and longer than wider. My technology closet is in the middle of the space and there is a long hallway going down the middle where I put a Linksys LAPN600 at each end wired with POE to my switch. I've been testing the access points out because I never had time to really understand them but now I've got a better grip on them. Today I thought it could be a good idea to leave the router to do it's main function and turn off all wireless from it and let the access points do all of the wireless traffic. On the access points I save the 5G for the mobile devices and leave the 2. 4 for my home automation things like cameras, Alexa devices, etc. Does this seem to make sense?
