More likely the ones without neutral were original circuits. The ones with neutral are new circuits that were added during a remodel.

Because they would be 2 way lights if they have 3 core cable all labelled with brown they are 2 way

Do those rooms have ceiling fans/light fixtures or are the switches controlling outlets for lamps?

All light switches are for ceiling lights, no fans ever fitted

30 yr old house here. So many simple circuits rather than proper 3 way switches.

We saw the c by ge new switches coming this quarter. We were able to film them at CES. You can check out the video and watch for the part where they are making them for 3 and 2 wire installs. You’ll even see their knob and tube example.

Smart light switch question. I bought 4 GE Enbrighten 2nd Gen switches around the first of the year from Amazon, since then I have read many comments about them failing within a year or two and I was second guessing my decision to install them.

Out of curiousity, weighing the pro's/con's of purchasing a 3d printer (most likely second hand) to print things for the smart home , light switch covers, mounts, other little misc things along the way.

I am in the process of adding Zooz smart switches (ZEN 26/27/30) to most of our light circuits, bathfans, and some lesser used ceiling fans.
