Does anyone have a smart exhaust fan they'd recommend? My husband and I sometimes forget to turn the exhaust fan off after showering. I'd like something that will auto shut off after a certain time or when the humidity goes to a good range.

Yeah with that 2. 5 you can separate the fan and the light and control them individually. I love it!

That’s exactly what I’ve done. Have the fan set for 30 minutes from 5 AM to 11 AM typical shower times including weekend and then 15 minutes for the rest of the day and a backup setting of off after an hour in case there is a glitch. Works great

It would be cool to have intake and exhaust linked to a TVOC and humitity sensor that goes off when 1# When we take a shower and 2# when someone does number 2.

Just switch the fan out for an AC infinity T series, it will auto on and auto off. you just set the parameters.

Smart could, occupancy and humidity. But if the person already turns it on, that's half the battle. Just a timer would be good.

These things work much better if you use a separate humidity sensor correctly located, which is rarely where the fan goes. You don’t need to tie yourself to specific vendors or technology either.

I use a Lutron timer for the exhaust fans in shower rooms, and a vacancy sensor for half baths (tap on, turns off 15 min after leaving). I would consider humidity sensor for shower steam, but I’m in a dry climate.

Get a motion sensor and wire it to control both.

Our fan is controlled by Home assistant. Turn light on, fan comes on, turn light off and fan runs 5-25 minutes, depending on the humidity in the bathroom when the light is turned off.

I do the same minus the humidity sensor. lights turn on when you walk in and fan with it, they turn off 15 minutes after no motion or if you turn off the smart switch when leaving which nobody does and was the reason for the automation in the first place LOL. I need to add the humidity sensor though. which one are you using?

Mine are cheap Lumi ones that connect to their gateway. A pain in the butt to set up in HA, but they do work well once done

This thing is awesome. It’s looks no different than a regular switch. The control for the delay time to turn off is hidden under the face plate.
