Do Inovelli on/off switches REALLY work with existing 3-ways?! You don't have to update both switches? I've read it. I just can't believe it. This saves so much money!

They do, but they aren't the only one. Zooz and Lutron both have products that do, too. Inovelli is the only one I know of that can work with a dumb, aux/add-on, *or* smart switch at other locations, however.

Yes, so long as you have a neutral (and line) where you install the inovelli switch. If there is no neutral, you will need to use an aux/add-on switch (and inovelli dimmer, not switch).

You need a neutral at that location though. So you will be limited which 3 way can be replaced. Especially if you are in a newer house with arc fault breakers
