Hey everyone.  Thanks for the add.Hey everyone. Thanks for the add. So here’s what I’m trying to do if possible. I have the Blink XT2 wireless cameras from amazon. I can arm and disarm the system either on the app or by yelling at Alexa. Is there some way to program one or two smart buttons or switches to automatically arm and disarm the system, likely through the Alexa command? This way I can hit one on the way out of the house and the other on the way in. I know about the EchoButtons but they aren’t available unless you pay more on eBay. Thanks in advance

I have them arm/disarm automatically when I leave my GeoFence, but I use SmartThings and IFTTT for that.

@horseweed how does that work? Is it based on multiple people/devices? I’d only want it to do that if both my wife and I were outside the wire

@duplication9 Correct. Both my wife and I have our phones added to SmartThings as presence sensors. Once both of us leave the geofence, I have a webCoRE piston which kicks off and performs numerous actions, including arming the Blink cameras via a virtual switch with IFTTT sees. If either of us re-enters the geofence, they are disarmed.

@horseweed ok can you pm on how they hell that works lol. Sounds like a perfect option since we have very random schedules

You need SmartThings and webCore. Do you have those? If so, create a virtual switch in SmartThings. Next, go to IFTTT and add your SmartThings and Blink accounts to link them to IFTTT. In IFTTT, make an activity which arms/disarms based on the status of that virtual switch. Once your phones are added to SmartThings as presence sensors, build a webcore piston which, when both switch to away, the virtual switch above is armed. When ONE switches to present, have the piston disarm via the virtual switch.

@horseweed that’s Latin to me but I’ll look into it

@horseweed I just need a smart things hub?
