Our current house has 10 Zmodo cameras, zmodo video doorbell, ecobee thermostat, WitGarage, 3 Alexa’s, Linksys mesh network, several WiFi controlled powerstrips, and a dozen or so WiFi plugs. My wife and I bought a lot and are working on house plans. We want to make sure that our plans have a focus on home automation. We might not be able to do the highest end initially, but we want to make sure we plan for it. We also need to make sure that we can control things like lights with switches in addition to an app/control pad. So my question is twofold: 1. What should we be considering from a system perspective (control4, lutron, crestron, something else)? 2. What should we put into our building plans (electrical wiring, network wiring, speaker wiring, switches, outlets, etc) to make sure we are thinking ahead and prepared? Thank you all in advance!
