Hello people, I'm new to HA and I have a question: is it possible to interconnect zigbee devices from different vendors? Im interested mostly in the livolo and xiaomi brands. Thanks!

Zigbee end devices only connect directly to your coordinator/hub, of which there can only be one, and also to zigbee routers/repeaters. The majority of Zigbee devices regardless of the brand will create a functional mesh network.

What do you mean interconnect? You don't connect them together, you connect them to a hub. And yes, you can connect any vendors as long as the hardware is supported.

@hague i want to connect livoli smart switches to xiaomi aqara. It says that both use zigbee, and i want a gateway thats apple homekit compatible

Sure. Have a look at zigbee2mqtt as one option. They have a page for supported devices. Plenty of other usb sticks out there too!
