Hi, Im changing to ecobee thermosthat. I have 4 conventional thermostat now. Do i need to install 1 normal ecobee and 3 ecobee lite? Do you recomend room sensors since I have a lot of thermostats? Is it just buying ecobees and changing them or do I need to know something special? something you did wrong and should know? many thanks in advance guys.

@overset8553 i would also get as many sensors as you can. That’s the benefit of the ecobee.

I thought my current smart thermostat stopped working. Thank god it was the furnace (I fixed the problem). I don't like the look of the current thermostats. I picked the one I have because of all the info it displays. I was going to leave my old dumb thermostat hooked up until I found something I liked. All that said the one thing I did like was the room sensors but that's not something that would be hard to add to any setup. (My thermostat is the Honeywell RTH9580WF)

@overset8553 I’m sorry I’m not an hvac person, I just know from installing 4 ecobee that you need a common wire (or a common maker in my case since we didn’t have a common wire) to make it work.

Do you want Alexa? You might be fine just getting a 3 lite - that’s what I did. I didn’t really want a always on microphone on my wall. Much cheaper.
