At what point are we throwing too much at smartthings for it to handle? Im sitting at 297 devices right now (though a ton of them are virtual devices for IFTTT integration and Harmony integration). I have 54 pistons in webcore, 60 smart lighting automations and ideas for a handful more automations (that will require more virtual devices). I can probably clean up some automations, i think there is some redundancy as i tried to move as much as i could to smartlighting from webcore so it executes locally. but even then, sometimes really simple automations, like opening the door to the laundry room turns on one light in that room, will take 5-10 seconds to process. but sometimes its almost instant, as you would expect. so i guess my question is, am i throwing too much at smartthings? Im not sure thers a hard limit, but maybe watching all these devices and connecting them to the automations is just too much for the hardware to handle? The idea of moving to a new, more powerful system is both exciting and nauseating. Moving all of my physical devices, recreating the necessary virtual devices, rebuilding the automations, tying everything back into the third parties that im using, will take me actual weeks to do in the little bit of spare time i have.

I'm using smartThings mainly for my motion sensors for lights. I can have it turn off in however long after no motion. Can't do that in Alexa app

I'm just curious what you are using all the virtual switches for?!?

If you assign generic device handlers to devices, they will run locally and not through the cloud!

@imperturbation91375 I have about 200 physical devices and I don't use iftt or webcore and everything does what I want it to do in a timely manner. Priority devices like motion activated stairwell lights I have set up to run locally using Smart lighting and they work instantly, even if internet is down.
