Alright party people.  not sure what the device I'm looking for is called or I'd search it.Alright party people. not sure what the device I'm looking for is called or I'd search it. I'm hoping to find an outlet that is zwave, but. I need the connection point to be controlled not the plug. Kinda like a gfi works. Want to run power to the outlet and have half the plug be zwave, and the load connection where you tie a wire to pass voltage, if that makes sense. anyone know of anything?

No, that doesn’t make sense. Might have to retry that explanation. Zwave outlets typically have one “normal” plug and one zwave controlled plug. They also have a button on them that lets you manually control the zwave-controlled plug. Does this sound like it’s what you want? If so, there are a dozen options.

Never seen anything with that capability. However if you don’t need a receptacle at that location you could replace the plug with a switch and it would do what you are asking. You could also change it to a 2 gang and add a switch to control the receptacle and everything downstream. Are you trying to control baseboard heaters?
