I have a Fibaro and don't care for how short the distance you have to be to it is. My GoControl sensors can sense you across the house, but they don't make them anymore.

I’ve had good luck with the Samsung branded ones.

@convolution85 How long is the battery life?

@systematist3261 I moved into my house 2 years ago last month and biyght a bunch of these at the time. Over the past few weeks I have started getting notifications that many of them are under 15 percent and have begun replacing batteries accordingly. So my answer would be about 2 years or more if you want to try to stretch it (which I would not)

@systematist3261 oh wait, I just noticed you're a Yankees fan - I didn't mean to help you (just kidding)

@systematist3261 long enough that I don’t think about it. 6 months or more I’m sure. The newer ones that you can aim seem to be better than the previous generation.

Same experience. Samsung sensors work great and the batteries last.

@convolution85 I want something that last a couple of years. 6 months is too short.

I am using Ikea Trådfri motion sensor. Have had it for about 6 months and the battery is on 88%.

@adorne5 do they work natively or did you have to setup a handler?

On the items web page it says Batteries are included, and last approx. 2 years. That's really good if it's true.

Ecolink hands down

Oops you said motion Iris then

I would still argue Ecolink. I have 2 Ecolink motion sensors that are 2 years old, still 99% battery according to the Smartthings app.
