Question

Hello everyone  I run a vacation rental and just got the new app. I am unable to add lock codes. Every time I try it tells me that there is no lock online however I can see the history and lock and unlock from the app. I called ST’s and they suggested I uninstall and reinstall the app and try resetting my phone. I did and still the same. Any suggestions? Can everyone else create lock codes on the new app?

@stout1 yes, I downloaded the new and now I can’t create or delete lock codes in either app making it quite difficult to send guest their own personal codes.

I just got a Schlage Connect Z wave lock installed yesterday and have been using the basic Smart Things Guest app and am able to add and delete them no problem.

This happened to me last week. I contacted them via email and went back and forth. The only thing that worked was deleting the thing. That fixed it. Not the app, just pretend you're gonna sell the thing and remove it. Install again.

One additional thing is I think some Schlage locks require six digit codes to be programmed. Any less and it won't work.

At my AirBnB I have a V3 hub and Kwikset locks and I am able to add lock codes with the new app. At my home I have a V2 hub and same locks and I’m unable to add codes with the new app. The old app works on both. ST say ‘they’re working on it’ but I call BS on that.
