Thanks for the add.  How many have swapped from wink? Thanks for the add. How many have swapped from wink? I got the “extending free service” email last night. I was trying to hold out as long as I could. I have ordered the ST hub so it’s in route. Any heartburn swapping from wink to ST? All GE smart bulbs, a couple smart wall outlets and a hardwired smart light switch. Any tips or advice would be welcomed.
Thanks for the add. How many have swapped from wink?

I am in the same boat. Still waiting for the ST hub. I will say, b that I really never had problems with my wink hub, but I also don't use it for tons of automations. Honestly, I might hang around with wink until it's fully done, unless I come up with a bunch of spare time I want to kill.

@replevin thinking the same thing. I bought it when it first came out. I had no idea then that it was tied to a 3rd party lol

Yup. Same load out with bulbs, switches, and outlet here. I basically jumped from Wink app to remove a device, to ST app to add a device. Response time for ST was noticeably faster.

I just switched from Wink also. It took me about 30 minutes to move everything over (2 Schlage connect locks, 1 Honeywell dimmer switch, 2 Lutron switches). The only one that gave me a little trouble was the Honeywell, that is until I realized the ST hub has a discover device feature which found it immediately. Oh, and be sure you remove all devices from Wink before you move them to ST

Switched next day after first announcement. Only a few GE bulbs, mostly Sylvania for me, but the GEs I do have work 100% better with ST. Not sure why but very fast and do not go offline which was fairly often with Wink.

I switched 3 days before the deadline. I like it so far. It's not quite as user friendly in regards to robots and things like that, but it meets my needs. I didn't have much to transfer over in that I had 4 connected bulbs. I've added a Schlage Connect yesterday. If you do switch you'll want to install WebCore, which to me is an extremely powerful rules engine that's in the cloud. It essentially coding that's fairly easy to do and makes creating rules so powerful but can be intimidating.

I personally know Paul. We got our wink systems about the same time. I switched last weekend to the ST Hub and I too have noticed how much faster it works. It is a pain to switch between the apps to setup versus setting up automation.

I made the switch to ST from wink last week. I was probably part of the small group that never had any issues with wink but i still didnt want to pay $5 a month per login account to my hub. Removed everything from wink hub easily and added to ST with only 1 issue which was some dome window sensors that didnt want to join. Bought new iris sensors and they joined without a problem

No issues with my 50 devices. I'm enjoying SmartThings.

My GE Link bulbs hooked up to the Smarthings hub so quickly that it made my head spin. So far, I am very pleased with my decision to migrate my system from Wink to Smarthings.
