I just did a search for this and most of the reply’s are old. Is there a smart switch for a Hunter fan (54098) that allows you to control the light and the fan separate? It doesn’t appear that the fan is a simple connect fan.

No. Those are WiFi. send them back!

Both require you to install a module in the fan’s canopy

Check out Inovelli they have a fan /dimmer in a single gang box comming soon. Pre order ends soon also. I got a few preordered.
