Question

So I got a Yale Conexis lock and a z wave module but the zwave bit seems very unreliable. If I unlock or lock via the app Smartthings it's working fine but if I unlock the door manually it still shows locked. So most of the time someone can unlock the door then re lock it and Smartthings thinks it's been locked for the whole time. Any ideas it's only about 10m from the hub and I have 2 z wave repeaters within that distance too. So not sure it's a signal issue as unlocking and locking remotely is working fine and quick.

I have this same issue with a danalock. Through the main danalock app its fine. But via smartthings its not always right or there is a delay

Was seriously considering buying one of these but I'll never hear the end of it when it fails constantly bus all I'm reading. Shocking from such as a big manufacturer. Thing I'll stick to bread and water whilst I save for the schlarge and have done

Which version of the z-wave dongle did you get? There's old and new, they're different colours

For what it's worth mine has been faultless as long as I keep on top of battery changes and use, surprisingly, cheap ones. Rechargeable are a big no-no as they're 1. 2v, not 1. 5. I tried Duracell and Energiser, battery life was poor at just a few weeks. IKEA alkalines (£2. 50 for 10) last for months with 8-10 operations per day

Yes, I use those. Maybe I bought fake Energisers or something, but I also had short life from Duracell.
