Good priced and good quality presence sensor's? My wifes phone as a presence sensor is not reliable, I know she's not home right now, I saw her leave on the camera yet it still says she's present so yeah time to get her a keychain one or something.

Phone is going to be your best bet. The only alternative I'm aware of is the ST presence sensor and it is worthless.

@hague yes I had heard that those SmartThings ones were hit or miss oh, didn't know if there was any other kinds that worked with SmartThings

Not that I'm aware of but maybe?

@hague what do you think is causing her phone to say she's present when she's away then?

My guess would be that the ST app on her phone is going to sleep and preventing location from updating but that's really just a guess.

I've been using the ST "Arrival Sensor" mentioned for about two months now. I have had absolutely no trouble with it. When I leave an automation shuts down all the lights, arms STHM and sets Location to Away. When I come home it reverses all that. Originally I kept it in the glove box in the car but with the winter cold I'm carrying it in my pocket for now. I have no complaints at all. except the battery shows 30% from day 1.

Life360 is the best presence sensor. the ST arrival sensor needs a new battery seemingly every 3 months or sooner when its cold but it also is reliable
