Question

Trying to setup a coming home automation for the Mrs and I. I have scene setup that works just fine triggering using our phones as presence sensors but my issue is the scene contains a Harmony activity to turn all AV equipment on and start Hulu. Works great for whoever gets home 1st which is usually the Mrs. When I get home and the scene is triggered lights stay on, fireplace stays on, garage door opens, but the activity to start Hulu runs again interrupting whatever she was watching. How do I prevent the Harmony activity from running a 2nd time? Smarthings doesn't seem to detect that it's already running. Thanks

Create a virtual switch that is turned on with automation instead of the harmony itself. Then a separate automation that, when this virtual is turned on. If the switch is already on, then it can’t be turned back on unless it’s been switched to off. Then you can decide what should turn it off— one of you leaving the house, the door locking, etc.
