Above head height may increase coverage. Propagation of signal is impacted at desk height due to more obstacles such as fridges, cupboards, people, etc.

Ideally, you should review house plan & place in a location central to all camera's, but the least amount of obstacles (walls)

I have multiple hubs.

I tested mine and it made no difference. You really need to test it yourself to be sure.

The only issue I see is running a internet wire to the base.
