Question

I just got the multi-purpose sensor and hooked it up to my door. When the door opens the lights turn on and notify me works great. But then when door closes lights turn off does not work because it turns off my lights when the door closes after opening it I only wanted to turn off the lights when the person leaves the building but they don't have a smartphone. any ideas how to do this I have all my lights and everything set up through SmartThings?

If there is no other sensor related to monitoring that person you can try turning the light off after a specified time delay.

Best way to do this would be to get a motion sensor. Or if the area is very large, a few motion sensors
