Let's talk solar panels for Arlo cameras. The good, the bad and helpful feedback for those considering. How are they working? Which ones work best and mounting feedback. Thanks.

I have a solar panel for one of my cameras, pro2. It works really well, and I live in Denmark and there is not so much sun at the moment. The only annoying thing is that you just have one color on the solar panel, black. It had been nice with a choice between black and white.

I have the Arlo pro cameras. I bought the solar panels that go with them. The come with a mounting bracket that is good and sturdy. The solar panels work great.

I found the cord to be a bit short, I had to move the location of the camera to get the panel in a good spot. It hasn’t really been charging well the last week or so, and I only had it in it’s good location for a week prior, but guessing that’s because it’s been really smoky here. In Melbourne Australia.

As long as you position them for maximum sun they never need charging.

I have 4 outside. 2 work great during the summer sun, 2 are out all of the time. Unfortunately, I cant run AC power to 3 of them. So, during the winter, they are "out" more than they are on. We've repositioned them many times. One, the cord isn't long enough for me to position the solar panel at max. It usually takes a month for it to finally charge back up, will last two weeks, then blink out again. Oh and when they do work, they dont work, because it's too cold. ‍♀️ so I get a message saying "temporarily paused due to cold temps" or something like that. I live an hour outside of DC / Baltimore.

I bought the generic one for my original arlo for the one in a tree, lol, and it works great 100% all the time and I don't have to climb up the ladder to change the batteries anymore.

I have one n a high traffic area. Set and forget basically. In in Australia, so it gets plenty of sun. Cables aren’t long, so that could be an issue depending where your cameras are. Made our lives so much easier and than pulling ladders out to get the camera down and put it back and reposition angle lol
