How do I keep the cameras working in cold weather? I have them installed high up and I don’t want to climb a ladder every time the batteries are too cold to work. I have solar panels for warmer months.

The only way I found is to hardwire them and take out the batteries during the winter

@menedez67 is there certain cords you can buy instead of batteries?

Even in the negative 40 temperatures we had here last year they worked as long as I took the battery out, then during the summer I just put the battery back in as a battery backup of sorts

Yes you have to plug it in somewhere, if you have an outdoor light you could get a light bulb that has a USB port or an adapter

The skins do not help. I’ve heard others say heat tape works.

Mine work fine no skins for almost two years (Knocking On Wood)

This is my 3rd winter and by far the mildest one and I've had nothing but problems with them this year. Very disappointing for the price paid. I don't know what has changed but they are offline a lot. If I could have hard wired cameras in the places I need them I certainly would do that. Arlo system was purchased for the wireless convenience.
